With FordPass® app, your vehicle is ready when you are. Easily extend the remote start or even remotely activate Horn and Lights right from the FordPass® application.
A connected vehicle is connected to the Cloud using a modem and an eSim fitted within the vehicle.
Examples of data sent include basic vehicle information (e.g., VIN, model, year, serial numbers, time, etc.). Diagnostics of vehicle systems (e.g., oil life, fuel consumption, tire pressure, etc.), and information about the usage and performance of vehicles, features, and technology.
The data is only off boarded to Ford or a third-party service provider in order to perform services and to fulfill requests by the customer. Ford’s customers have control over data shared with Ford, including the choice to opt-out of sharing data within the in-vehicle Settings menu with several quick presses of SYNC® screen buttons.
The FordPass®* app is a mobile application that allows Ford vehicle owners to connect with their vehicles, access information, and utilize features for an enhanced ownership experience.
Features include remote start, remote lock and unlock, vehicle status checks (like fuel level, odometer reading and tyre pressure).

Note: The embedded modem in your vehicle was designed to work with specific cellular networks available when your car was manufactured. If those networks are no longer available, connected services and all data transmission via the modem will cease. Please reach out with your local Distributor for further queries.

Yes, you’ll need to create a FordPass®* account to access the app’s features and connect to your vehicle.
After creating an account, follow the prompts in the app to add your vehicle. You may need to enter your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and ensure your vehicle is compatible.
Oil life, tire pressure, and odometer features can be found in “Service” tab.
FordPass®* is currently compatible with the following operating systems and versions (As of Jan-2025):
Android™* software requirements: software version 9.0 and up.

Enroll to become a FordPass®* Member by creating an account or logging in using your existing Ford Account credentials (username and password).
Optimize your FordPass®* experience by adding a vehicle to your account.
Use the steps below to create your FordPass®* account.
1.Download the FordPass®* app via your respective platform.
2.Open the FordPass®* app on your device.
3.Select your country.
4.Tap Next.
5.Select Create an Account.
6.Enter your email address.
7.Double check your email address for errors or missing characters.
8.Press Request Code.
9. Retrieve the 6-digit code from your email.
10. Enter your code in the Verification Code field.
Important: If more than 10 minutes have passed since you requested the code, you will need to request another one by selecting Send New Code.

You can reset your password using FordPass®* app. Use the steps below for more information.
To reset your password using FordPass®*:
1.Open the FordPass®* app.
2.Access the login screen.
•Note: Select the Account > Log out options if you are currently logged in.
3.Select Sign In.
4.Tap Forgot Password?.
5.Enter your email address in the Email field.
6.Tap Request Code. An email will be sent to the email address associated with your account. If you do not see the email, check your spam/junk folder.
7.Retrieve the 6-digit code from your email.
8.Enter your code in the Verification Code field.
Important: If more than 10 minutes have passed since you requested the code, you will need to request another one by selecting Send New Code.
9.Click Submit.
10.Enter your new password in the Password field.
11.Tap Submit.
Log-in using your existing FordPass®* account credentials (username and password) on the FordPass®* app. (or) If you have a new device, you do not have to create a new account. (or) If you lost your device or if it was stolen, you do not have to create a new account. If you encounter issues during the registration process, select to contact a Guide for additional assistance.
To add your first vehicle to FordPass®*:
1.Open the FordPass®* app
2.Press Add Vehicle
3.Press one of the following options on the pop-up message for camera access:
Note: The scan window will appear to capture your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and route you to the Vehicle screen.
a.Tap Enter VIN Manually.
Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Find Your VIN link.
b.Enter your VIN.
c.Select Next.
Your vehicle should appear in the garage.
If you experience issues when attempting to add your VIN to FordPass®*, use the troubleshooting steps below.

Note: VINs do not include the letters I, O, and Q to avoid confusion with the numbers one and zero.

To add another vehicle to FordPass®*:
1.Log in to the FordPass®* app.
2.If you already have a vehicle selected, tap the Garage icon in the top right-hand corner of the FordPass®* app.
Note: The garage will load by default if you have not previously selected a vehicle.
3.Tap the Add Vehicle button.
4.Press one of the following options on the pop-up message:

Enter your VIN & Select Next.
Your vehicle should appear in the Vehicle Garage. Note: Max of 10 vehicles can be added to the account.
To connect to your vehicle:
1.Enter and turn your vehicle on.
2.Ensure that your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in
a well-ventilated (good network coverage), safe area.
3.Confirm your Connectivity Settings are enabled within your vehicle.
4.Open the FordPass®* app.
5.Select Connect to Vehicle.
Note: If your vehicle is equipped with the FordPass®* Connect modem and the Connect to Vehicle tile does not appear, contact us through Account > Contact Help.
6.Tap I've Started my Vehicle.
7.Read and accept the prompt on your vehicle screen.
Note: It may take up to two minutes for the connection to complete.
8.Press Check Connection Status once you accept the in-vehicle prompt.
FordPass®* will route you back to the Vehicle screen and the remote commands (if available) should appear below your vehicle image.
You can complete a FordPass®* Connect Reset on your vehicle's SYNC® screen. For more information, refer to the steps below.
Important:
To complete a FordPass®* Connect Reset:
1.Safely enter your vehicle.
2.Ensure that your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in a well-ventilated safe area.
3.Tap Settings on your SYNC® screen.
4.Scroll down and select Reset.
5.Scroll down and select FordPass®* Connect Reset.
6.Close and reopen FordPass®* once the reset is complete. (You can now connect to your vehicle again)
Your lost mobile phone and email can allow access to your FordPass®* account(s), which can be used to bypass your vehicle's security. Use the steps below to regain security.
1.Secure your email used to register with FordPass®* to prevent others from accessing it.
Submit a FordPass®* password reset request to send a security email confirmation to the registered email.
Consider changing the password on your email account.
Important: This may trigger a sign-out on other devices and applications. This helps to ensure no unauthorized person has access to your email.
2.Perform a FordPass®* Connect Reset to remove user authorizations.
3.Obtain a new or temporary device that is compatible with FordPass.
4.Download FordPass®* from App Store®* or Google Play™*.
5.Open FordPass®* and initiate a password reset.
6.Enter your new credentials on the FordPass®* login screen after resetting your password.
7.Check your vehicle list once FordPass®* loads.
8.Proceed to activate your vehicle again for command-and-control access.
Important: Only grant vehicle activation permission to accounts you know and trust.
If you cannot complete any of the FordPass®* steps above, contact a Guide for additional support.
You can reset your password by selecting the “Forgot Password?” option on the login screen and following the instructions.

No. The app is designed to enhance the ownership experience of Ford vehicles with connectivity technology.
Ford continuously works on improving the app, further upgrades would be announced once they are ready for launch.
As a safety precaution, FordPass®* will only lets you Remote Start the vehicle twice in a row or once if you use Extend feature. On the third attempt, you will see a pop-up notification (shown below) requiring you to drive the vehicle manually (or physically start the vehicle to reset the built-in counter).
Remote lock command only locks the doors and will not close your Sunroof if its open.

FordPass® functionality and appearance may change over time due to software updates. You are responsible for internet access, mobile network data and voice call services required for your use of the FordPass® app on your mobile device, including associated fees. The FordPass® app and FordPass® Connect modem can only work when both are connected to the telecommunications network. The modem will only function on the 4G or 5G telecommunications networks, as per the spec of the telematics unit in your vehicle. When these networks are no longer available, the modem will stop functioning and the connected services and all data transmission via the modem will cease.
